The instrument is a broken Dulcitone, a small portable organ that would have been used on ships or by travelling I wanted to interpret the sense of creeping danger that this section of the film soundtrack conveys, a kind of approaching chaos like an unseen undertow beneath a seemingly calm and relaxed surface. My section is the retreat from Skull Island, an attempt to leave the 'savagery' behind for the relative safety of the sea and ultimately 'civilisation'.
